Biosketch

 

Dr. Doan Xuan Huy Minh received his PhD degree in Business Informatics from the University of Reading (UK) in 2013.

Currently, he is a lecturer and Head of the ICT Department at Swinburne University of Technology Vietnam, which is an Alliance between Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and FPT University, Vietnam.

Prior to joining SUT-VN in 2021, Dr Minh was the Chief Administrative Officer of the Institute for Computational Science and Technology (ICST), a research body of Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Science and Technology from 2015 to 2021. Besides that, from May 2019 to May 2021, he was also appointed as the Head of MIS Department at Faculty of Economics and Business in Hoa Sen University.

Dr Minh contributed significantly to the success of a series of ICST events, including the International Conference on Computing Science and Engineering (2016, 2019) and a series of conferences on Smart City applications and solutions (2017, 2018, 2019) as the Chair of the Organization Boards. He also led a research team at the Open Lab at the ICST, and was awarded the Excellent Prize in the 2017 Big Ideas Competition for Climate Change by the UNDP Asia - Pacific.

Dr Minh’s research interests are in MIS/BIS and Information Science, covering topics such as information behaviour, information governance, e-business/e-commerce/e-government, and digital transformation in both the public and private sectors. Dr Minh has also being a visiting lecturer in Business Management and International affairs at more than 10 universities and institutes around the world.
