Giới thiệu

Tiến sĩ Đoàn Xuân Huy Minh hiện là Giám đốc cơ sở TP. Hồ Chí Minh và Giám đốc Chương trình Thạc sĩ Kỹ thuật Phần mềm tại Viện Quản trị và Công nghệ FSB, thuộc Đại học FPT.

Ông nhận bằng Tiến sĩ Tin học Kinh doanh từ Đại học Reading, Vương quốc Anh vào năm 2013. Lĩnh vực nghiên cứu của ông tập trung vào hệ thống thông tin, hành vi thông tin và đặc biệt là chuyển đổi số trong cả khu vực công và tư.

Trước khi gia nhập FPT, TS. Huy Minh đã có nhiều năm kinh nghiệm giảng dạy và quản lý tại các tổ chức uy tín:

  • Trưởng Bộ môn Khoa học Máy tính, Chương trình liên kết giữa Đại học FPT và Đại học Swinburne (Úc) tại TP.HCM.
  • Trưởng Bộ môn Hệ thống Thông tin Quản lý, trường Đại học Hoa Sen.
  • Chánh Văn phòng, Viện Khoa học Tính toán và Công nghệ TP.HCM (ICST) trực thuộc Sở Khoa học và Công nghệ TP.HCM (2015 - 2021).

Nghiên cứu và thành tựu nổi bật

Trong quá trình công tác, TS. Huy Minh đã có nhiều đóng góp quan trọng, bao gồm:

  • Đảm nhận vai trò Trưởng Ban Tổ chức cho nhiều hội thảo khoa học quốc tế uy tín, như International Conference on Computing Science and Engineering (2016, 2019) và chuỗi hội thảo về Smart City 360 độ: Các giải pháp và ứng dụng Thành phố Thông minh (2017, 2018, 2019).
  • Nhóm nghiên cứu do ông hướng dẫn đã đạt Giải thưởng Xuất sắc (Excellent Prize) tại cuộc thi "Big Ideas Competition for Climate Change 2017" do Chương trình Phát triển Liên Hiệp Quốc (UNDP) khu vực Châu Á - Thái Bình Dương tổ chức.

Với những đóng góp trong hoạt động quản lý và nghiên cứu khoa học, TS. Đoàn Xuân Huy Minh đã nhận được nhiều bằng khen, giấy khen và các học bổng từ Bộ Khoa học và Công nghệ, Ủy ban nhân dân TP.HCM và Bộ Ngoại giao Hoa Kỳ.

Biosketch

Dr. Minh Doan serves as the Interim Director at the FPT School of Business and Technology (FSB) in Ho Chi Minh City. He is also the Academic Director of the Master's Program in Software Engineering ̣(MSE) and teaching in both MBA/MSE programmes.

In addition to his primary roles, Dr. Minh is a visiting lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology Vietnam, which is an Alliance between Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and FPT University, Vietnam. He formerly headed the Computer Science Department at Swinburne Vietnam HCMC during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Prior to joining FPT in 2021, Dr Minh was the Chief Administrative Officer of the Institute for Computational Science and Technology (ICST), a research body of Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Science and Technology (2015 - 2021). Concurrently, he served as the Head of the MIS Department at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Hoa Sen University (5/2019 - 5/2021).

Dr. Minh contributed significantly to the success of a series of ICST events, including the International Conference on Computing Science and Engineering (2016, 2019) and a series of conferences on Smart City applications and solutions (2017, 2018, 2019) as the Chair of the Organization Boards. He also led a research team at the Open Lab at the ICST, and was awarded the Excellent Prize in the 2017 Big Ideas Competition for Climate Change by the UNDP Asia - Pacific.

Dr. Minh earned his PhD in Business Informatics from the University of Reading, UK (2013). His research spans MIS/BIS and Information Science, focusing on information behavior, information governance, and digital transformation in public and private sectors. Dr. Minh has also served as a visiting lecturer at a number of universities and institutes worldwide.
